Naaldekoker departs from Jack Parow’s live set-up

Naaldekoker, the man behind the decks at Jack Parow’s performances, will be leaving his position to pursue his own solo career. He joined Jack Parow for the last time this past Saturday at the KKNK in Oudtshoorn and will be teaming up for the very last time from 9 to 11 December 2014 for The Party Cruise to Mozambique (http://www.southafrica.to/transport/cruises/theme/party/party-cruise.php).  Naaldekoker will also play his own DJ set on The Party Cruise.

"After five years of touring with Jack Parow I have decided to take the leap and focus solely on my own career. The experiences of the past five years were undoubtedly some of the highlights of my life. I graduated from varsity at 23 and directly thereafter started traveling around the world with Parow. I could not have asked for anything better at the time,” says Naaldekoker. 

Naaldekoker has had several of his own radio hits including The Meltdown featuring GoodLuck, Ek Smaak Jou featuring JR and Lost in Here featuring Richard Brokensha.  He released his debut album, The Club Meltdown, at the end of last year.  Naaldekoker feels that “now is the time to establish myself fully as one of South Africa's top DJ’s and producers."

About Naaldekokers’s departure, Jack Parow says that “it has been a great journey with Naaldekoker. When you travel together for so long you become family. He will be missed, but it is also time to move on. My live show over the past two years has changed into a lot more of a live band show, than the original DJ set. I have a great drummer, guitarist and bassist.”

With the release of his new album, Nag van die Lang Pette, Parow and his band have been playing acoustic shows with no DJ and even in the live set they have removed more of the electronic elements to be filled in by the band members.
